Helena Christensen is a supermodel born in Copenhagen, Denmark on December 25, 1968, making her a Christmas baby. With a heritage of blended Danish and Peruvian blood, she has the dark good looks needed to become a top model. At age 18, she won the title of Miss Denmark and attended the Miss Universe pageant, which she didn?t win. However, it gave her worldwide recognition that she used by moving to Paris and taking up modelling. She was a Victoria?s Secret girl for several catalogs and even appeared in their television commercials, as well as being featured on top fashion magazine covers. Not just your average ditz, Christensen runs several of her own businesses including an antiques shop in Manhattan. She also sells her own high-fashion clothing in a shop owned by her mother in Denmark and has also started her own clothing line with her friend Leif Sigersen, called Christensen and Sigersen. The supermodel has also teamed up with Mic Neumann to create Nylon Magazine, making her a very busy woman! She has a son, Mingus, and spreads her living time between homes in Manhattan, Copenhagan and Monaco. Her most recent projects include selling tee shirts to raise money for breast cancer research.
