Haylie Duff is a Texas girl, born in Houston on February 19, 1985. While not as famous as her younger sister Hilary, Haylie began her acting career at the same time. She studied dance and even toured with the Cechatti Ballet for a while in her early teens, took on some small commercial jobs and finally began to land some real jobs. Duff appeared in several television programs, including Joan of Arcadia, Lizzie Mcguire and Boston Public. She landed a role in the hit series 7th Heaven in 2005. The young actress has not stuck with TV though, she has also appeared in films like the indie flick Napoleon Dynamite, as well as Surf School and Foodfight. Though she is the elder of the Duff sisters, Haylie never reached the level of stardom that her little sister, Hilary did. However, she has done well in the limelight, taking side roles in her sibling?s shows (Lizzie McGuire), movies (Material Girls) and even helping Hilary out behind the scenes by writing songs for the younger Duff?s hit albums. She has a great singing voice and has been featured on soundtracks for movies like A Cinderella Story and Raising Helen.
