Gwen Stefani is a California girl, born on October 3, 1969. In 1987, Gwen?s brother, Eric, and his friend John Spence, started a band called No Doubt. Gwen started out as a secondary singer, with Spence being the lead, but after his suicide in 1987, she became the lead singer and the band continued to play local parties, increasing the group size to five. In 1990, the band recorded a demo and were signed by Interscope Records. After a dismal first release in 1992, the group hit the studios again, this time with their own money, to record The Beacon Street Collection which skyrocketed them to fame. That same year, 1995, Eric left the band and No Doubt went on to produce Tragic Kingdom, with the hits Just A Girl, Spiderwebs, and Don?t Speak. The album reached Billboard?s Number One and the group was nominated for 2 Grammy Awards. Gwen continued to sing with the group, while expanding her horizons and taking on a duet with Moby, in South Side. In 2003, the fashionista singer brought out her own line of clothing. She then moved on to record her own album, Love. Angel. Music. Baby the following year. Gwen has produced such hit singles as Hollaback Girl, Cool, and Wind It Up, taken from her two solo albums.
