Who is Georgina Verbaan?

Georgina Carolina Verbaan was born on the 9th October 1979 in The Hague, Netherlands, she is an actress and singer. Georgina became a national celebrity in 1997, at age 16, when she won a role in Goede Tijden, Slechte Tijden. For her role she was nominated at the Dutch Academy Awards in 1998 as Best Actress in a Soap. She left the show in 2000 to concentrate on becoming a film actress. Georgina appeared in the Dutch movie Costa! In 2001, it flopped badly. Her next movie, again a Dutch movie was also a major flop, the movie was Volle Mann in 2002. In 2003, much to everyone's surprise she was given the female lead in the International movie, Adrenaline, filmed in South Africa but again it was a flop at the box office and her career was foundering. So her next move was to do a shoot (including the cover) of Playboy, this shoot was not to have the desired effect, all it did was to have the tabloid press start asking questions as to the "reality" of her breasts. She eventually had a Radiography done to prove they were real, not "fake". Her career did not pick up though she did still keep getting parts offered to her, in 2005 she won a Gouden Ui for the movie Joyride. The Gouden Ui is awarded to actors who put in the worst performances, not the best. In 2006 she stood for Parliament but failed to get elected.
