Faye Dunaway was born on the 14th January 1941 in Bascom, Florida, USA. She is an Academy Award, Emmy Award and multi Golden Globe winning actress. Over the course of her more than five-decade career she has starred in a variety of films, from the most critically acclaimed including Bonnie and Clyde, Chinatown and Network, to blockbusters such as The Towering Inferno and the notorious, such as the cult classic Mommie Dearest. Faye first appeared on Broadway in 1962 as the daughter of Thomas More in A Man for All Seasons. Her first screen role was in 1967 in Hurry Sundown, but that same year, she got the leading female role in Bonnie and Clyde (opposite Warren Beatty) which earned her an Oscar nomination. She has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 7021 Hollywood Boulevarde, which was awarded on the 2nd October 1996. All up she has appeared in seventy-nine films, so far. She admits to being more than slightly angered by the "modern press" these days, she says they only want to "dig dirt" on celebrities and are not interested in what the are actually doing, meaning working, making movies and appearing in shows. She always uses what one interviewer did to her in 2003, he cut out most of what she said and edited it to sensationalise the interview, Faye sued him and won. But was then attacked by the rest of the celebrity media pack, now she hardly talks to any member of the press.
