Farrah Fawcett was born Ferrah Leni Fawcett on the 2nd of February, 1947, in Corpus Christi, the United States. She is a highly noted sex symbol and Amercian actress. She began doing commercials in the 1960s and 1970s. She was in a Wella Balsam shampoo advertisement when Pro Arts Inc. heard about her in April 1976. They arranged a photo shoot through Fawcett’s agent, and used the icon image for one of their posters. In 1976, Fawcett landed the plumb role of Jill Monroe on television series Charlie’s Angels. Her poster was released coincidentally at the same time, and sales boomed. The television series was also a massive hit, but Fawcett left the show in 1977. The show’s producers sued Fawcett for her early depature, and as part of the settlement she appeared three times as a guest star. Her replacement was Cheryl Ladd as younger sister Kris. In 1984, Fawcett received Emmy nominations for her role in The Burning Bed. She has received three Emmy nominations in total during her career. Fawcett had refused to be nude in any films or magazines throughout the 70s and 80s, but in December 1995, she posed nude in Playboy. She also appeared in July 1997 Playboy, and was nude in the 2000 film Dr T and the Women.
