Erica Durance was born on the 21st of June, 1978, in Calgary, Alberta, in Canada. She came to the height of her fame when she landed the role of Lois Lane in the Superman spin off television series, Smallville. After she graduated from high school, Erica moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, as she wanted to begin acting somewhere smaller than Los Angeles. She moved from commercials, to bit parts, and gradually made a name for herself. In 2004, she landed a part on The Chris Isaak Show. She also appeared in Tru Calling with Eliza Dushku, Andromeda, and The Collector. Sometimes she is credited as Erica Parker. She was ranked number 38 in FHM’s World’s 100 Sexiest Women in 2006. In 2007, in the same list, she moved up to number 20. She appeared on the cover of Maxim in October 2007. She married a man with the surname Parker in 1996. They separated and then divorced in 1999. In 2005, she married again, this time to David Palffy. She has also appeared in House of the Dead and The Butterfly Effect 2. She can currently be seen in the film No Time Like the Present and her television series Smallville.
