Emmanuelle Beart was born on the 14th of August, 1963, in Saint Tropez, France. Her father is Lebanese-Egyptian singer Guy Beart and Italian-Greek actress Genevieve Galea. At just thirteen years old, she was cast in Tomorrow’s Children. She continued to work in bit parts throughout her teenage years and then moved to Montreal, Canada, to work as a nanny. When she returned to France the following year, she went to acting school and soon landed her first film role as an adult. In 1986 she rose to the public’s attention in Manon des Sources, and she won the 1987 Cesar Award for Best Supporting Actress. Emmanuelle was married to Daniel Auteuil from 1993 to 1995, and they had a child together. In total, they were in a relationship together for ten years, but they divorced and Emmanuelle remarried. Emmanuelle is a UNICEF ambassador, and is vocally opposed to France’s anti-immigration legislation. Her most recent credits include Raas Leela in the role of Ammelie, Disco, Vinyan as Jeanne, Les Temoins as Sarah, Le Heros de la famille as Lea O'Connor, and as Alice Parker in A Crime.
