Emily VanCamp was born on May 12th, 1986 in Port Perry, Ontario, Canada. She’s been nominated for three teen choice awards and one Young Artists Award for her role on Everwood, (2002-2006). The show was about a New York neurosurgeon whose wife dies and leaves him with a 9 year old daughter, and 15 year old son to raise. Moving to the small Colorado town of Everwood seems the right way to deal with the pain because Dr. Andrew Browns late wife was attached to the place. The teen drama, fish out of water storylines, coming-of-age issues, and quality writing made the show a critical hit but its moves between networks made it difficult for audiences to find. The promising actress VanCamp is now playing Rebecca Harper on the ABC series Brothers & Sisters. The actress herself has been working in reverse in some ways. She had a chance to see what it was like to be a little girl who would clearly someday be the ultimate sophisticate. VanCamp’s greatest opportunity to see what its like to be both a person of historical significance, and have the most timeless adult style and grace came at a very young age. She appeared in the Jackie Bouvier Kennedy Onassis t.v. movie (2000) as the 13 year old self of the icon, in the role of the character billed Jackie Bouvier.
