Elsa Benitez was born on the 8th of December, 1977 in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. She is a Mexican supermodel who has graced the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and been featured within the magazines most popular issue five times since. Benitez has been the cover model for almost all of the top fashion magazines with an extraordinary three appearances on Vogue Italy in one year (2006), and other covers including Glamour, Harpers Bazaar, Red, Marie Claire and Cosmopolitan. Her reach is truly international as she’s been on the cover of most major European, North American, Mexican, and Australian major fashion as well as popular exercise and lifestyle magazines like Shape and Latina (U.S.). Her runway work has include a Haute couture show for Gianni Versace, and ready to wear shows for most of the major fashion houses including Christian Dior, Anna Sui, Bill Blass, Nicole Miller and Fendi.
