Who is Els Tibau?

Els Tibau was born on the 14th of April 1974 in Vlaams-Brabantse landing, Belgium. She is a model, television personality, philanthropist, and former Miss Belgium Beauty, 1996. Tibau signed her first modelling contract with the agency NEW in 1993 and became a prolific model for the Luc Ruant Agencies whose clothing distribution area includes Belgium and Luxembourg. Tibau followed the signing by taking part in modelling contests like 1994s Look of the Year in which she finished in the top 12. Her Miss Belgium Beauty title of 1996 propelled her career forward by offering more modelling opportunities and the beginning of her ongoing, regular television appearances on VTM, or Vlaamse Televisie Maatschappij which is the main t.v. station for the Dutch speaking part of Belgium (Belgium has three main languages, Dutch, French and German). The contest ultimately catalysed her becoming a philanthropist which includes involvement with the Red Cross, and the Clinic Clowns who bring joy to ailing, hospitalized children. In 2003 she became the face of Alice Tournier by villa Maria and Knapp Targa. She’s now in her 11th year at VTM and hopes to make forays into an acting career as well.
