Ellen Muth was born March 6th, 1981 in Milford, Connecticut. Shes an American actress, member of Mensa, and her father is a famous optician named Dr. Erich Muth who has a museum named after him. The actress won the AFI Los Angeles International Film Festival Best Actress award for The Young Girl and the Monsoon (1999), Best Supporting Actress at the Japanese Film Festival for her performance at age 14 in Dolores Claiborn (1995). But she’s gained most notice from audiences as the character Georgia Lass in the Showtime series Dead Like Me (2003-2004). Muth cut her teeth in some episodic t.v. like appearances on Law and Order: Special Victims Unit. She also has notable quirks fans might enjoy. She appears at fantasy festivals like DragonCon (Atlanta) and Armageddon (New Zealand). Moreover, she seems to have a penchant for societies dedicated to the intellectually gifted. In addition to applying for membership into Mensa, she’s gained membership into another likeminded organization called Intertel which believes people whose I.Q. testing puts them in the top 1 percentile have special intellectual, emotional and social needs which must be addressed throughout the rest of their lives.
