Who is Elin Nordegren?

Elin Nordegren was born Elin Maria Pernilla Nordegren in Stockholm, Sweden, on the 1st of January, 1980. She worked as a model, but is mostly known as being the wife of pro golfer Tiger Woods. Her mother is a politician and former policy minister in Sweden, and her father is a radio journalist. She has a twin sister named Josefin. She had been working as a nanny for a Swedish golfer, and he introduced her to Tiger Woods during the 2001 British Open. In 2003, they became officially engaged, and they married in October 2004 in Barbados. In June, 2007, Elin and Tiger welcomed their baby girl, Sam Alexis Woods, into the world. Nordegren’s modelling work had included bikini shots, but in 2006, nude pictures surfaced with text attached claiming to be Nordegren. With vehement denial from Elin and Tiger, it eventually became public that the photos were actually of Playboy model Kim Hiott in 2000 for a Nudes Special Edition. The Dubliner magazine still printed the photographs, claiming they were of Elin. They then issued an apology for the story, stating that the story was simply a satire of tabloids and was never meant to be intended as a serious story.
