Demi (Demetria) Moore was born on November 11th, 1962 in Roswell, New Mexico. Her childhood was a tough one. She was was born cross-eyed and underwent two operations to fix the problem. At 16, Demi quit school and moved to Los Angeles where she found work as a model and she also worked for a collection agency. When she was 18 she married rock musician Freddy Moore. The marriage lasted for 4 years. Her first significant role was as the drug addicted Jules in St. Elmos Fire. It reflected her own life of abusing drugs and alcohol. She attended a two week drug rehab program to return to work and she has remained clean and sober ever since. After a highly publicized affair with Bruce Willis, the couple was married in November of 1987. The couple stayed together for 11 years producing three daughters, Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah. After her role in Striptease, Demi disappeared from the spotlight, only to resurface with the lead role in G.I.Jane (1997) and a highly publicized separation from Bruce Willis (in 1998). Demi returned to the spotlight, this time in 2000’s Passion of Mind. After reprising her role as Esmeralda in The Hunchback of Notre Dame II in 2002 (by lending her voice) and hooking up in real life with much-younger Ashton Kutcher, she made her much-anticipated screen comeback as the villain in Charlies Angels: Full Throttle in 2003. She has been criticized for her intense ambition, but there is no doubt that she has been prosperous in her career. She is now recognized as one of the most powerful and influential women in Hollywood and she now rakes in over 12 million dollars a picture.
