Claudia Schiffer was born August 25, 1970 and is one of the world’s most successful supermodels. She is a German actress and supermodel who was popular during the 1990s. She has appeared in over 500 magazine covers. Forbes estimates Schiffer to be worth 38 million pounds in 2002. She was born in Rheinberg, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, which is a small town outside of Dusseldorf. Her parents were her father who was named Heinz Schiffer and her mother was Gudrun Schiffer. She was quite popular in school, but felt overshadowed by other girls in school. She was tall and became very shy in order not to be noticed. She came from a wealthy family and others became jealous of her. She became fluent in French and English and spoke both as well as she spoke her native German language. She thought she would become a lawyer like her father, but was spotted in a nightclub at 17 by the boss of Metropolitan Model Agency. Beyond modelling, Claudia has appeared in a number of music videos and films. She has also made appearances on television shows like The Tonight Show, The Late Show with David Letterman, Larry King Live, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Dharma & Greg and Arrested Development.
