Chiaki Kuriyama was born in October 10, 1984 in Tsuchiara Ibaraki. She is a popular Japanese actress and a model that was born during the mid-1990s child model boom in Japan. Her first work as a model was for the photo books Shinwa-Shoujo (Girl of Myth) and Shoujokan (Girls Residence) in Japan. After this work was discontinued, she worked as a model for minor magazines, but her real break and recognition came when she starred in the horror films Shikoku and Ju-on in years 1999 and 2000 respectively. Her third major film was Battle Royale in year 2000 where she was more widely recognized. After she became prominent in the Japanese Film Industry, she did some important work for the TV industry. Mainly she had appearances on several notable Japanese television programs (including Rokubanme no Sayoko) which helped her reach the highlight of her career. However, her biggest accomplishment came when she starred in the Famous Quentin Tarantino movie Kill Bill as Gogo Yubari. Her performance was impressive and Quentin Tarantino was pleased and took her on his list for future movies. Her other major role in a box office movie was the Azumi 2: Death or Love, which was a fiction drama.
