Charlotte Church, born Charlotte Maria Reed was born on February 21st, 1986 in Cardiff, Wales. She is a Welsh singer and television broadcaster. She started her career in childhood itself. She began her career as a classical singer right from her childhood, whose voice was said to have the tonal qualities of an opera singer. From 2000 onwards, she ventured into pop music, since pop music is very hot these days. The 2007 records show that over 10 million copies of her album have been sold worldwide, but the highest sales numbers account for her first three classical ones. She was a Roman Catholic by birth, but her mother Maria was separated from her biological father and got married to one James Church later, but he legally adopted her and was a real father to her right from childhood. At the age of three, she performed for Ghostbusters and refused to leave the stage after her performance. She was lucky and hence got her big break in 1997, at the age of 11, when she got sang Pie Jesu in the famous television series Talking Telephone Numbers. She rocked the show with her performance and then closely following its success was her much appreciated singing on the show Big, Big Talent Show in 1998 on ITV.
