Catherine Keener was born on March 23, 1959 in Miami, Florida. Catherine is an American actress, who has been nominated for the Academy Awards twice. Catherines parents names are Jim and Evelyn. Jim was of Irish descent and Evelyn of Lebanese descent. Her father was manager at an automotive store and not even remotely associated with acting. Catherine went to the Immaculate Conception Catholic School at Hialeah, Florida. For high schooling, she attended the Monsignor Edward Pace High School. She was expelled from this school because of her rebellious nature. She went back to school and completed it with flying colours. Due to her good grades, she was able to secure admission in a women’s college called Wheaton, in North Massachusetts. She did not like living with her sophisticated classmates and hence lived with her aunt, whose place was close to the college itself. English and History were her major subjects, she wanted to take up photography after that, but could not get through, so she opted for a theatre course. After completion of her graduation in 1983, she went to New York to pursue a career. Her debut was in the 1986 film About Last Night, where she had just one line of dialogue. She went on to bag a role with Brad Pitt in a movie called Johnny Suede, from where her career picked up.
