Carly Pope was born on the 28th of August, 1980, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She works as an actress. She has an older brother Kris who also works actor. She is half Italian, one quarter Yugoslavian, and one quarter Irish. She began acting on the stage when she was in high school. She had previously been training as a dancer, but began studying advanced drama in high school. An agent saw her in a school production, and her career took off from there. She speaks English, Italian, Spanish, and French fluently. She is currently juggling living in Los Angeles, living in Vancouver, and attending university. Her first role was in 1996 in the short film A Girl's Guide to Kissing and Other Nightmares in Teenland. She also played Abbey in Disturbing Behaviour, but she ended up on the cutting room floor. She truly came to the public’s attention, though, in 1999 when she was cast as Samantha McPherson in the television series Popular. She stayed with the show through 2001. She has since appeared in The Collector, Tru Calling, Itty Bitty Titty Committee, Dirt, The 4400, Say Goodnight, and Yeti: Curse of the Snow Demon.
