Who is Brooke Valentine?

Brooke Valentine was born on the 5th of October, 1984, in Houston, Texas. She is an RnB singer/songwriter. She first began her career in the pop group Best Kept Secret. However, she decided to go solo, split from the group, and moved to Los Angeles. She was immediately signed to Subliminal Entertainment/Virgin Records. She released her debut single, Girlfight, in late 204. Her debut, Chain Letter, was released in 2005, and it sold 340,000 copies in the United States. The singles from her second album have had very little success in the charts in 2006. Physical Education, her second album, has been delayed several times, and a current release date is nowhere to be found. Her official website states that the new album was almost ready to be released in August 2006. Her official website is, in fact, almost non-existent. However, Brooke confirmed very “eloquently” through her official MySpace page on August 10, 2007, that she will be releasing a completely new album through Subliminal Records, and that she had been tied up in legal affairs with Virgin Records after they refused to submit Physical Education through them, believing that she would be dumped in the same style that they dumped Janet Jackson.
