Who is Brittany Murphy?

Brittany Murphy was born Brittany Anne Bertolotti on the 10th of November, 1977, in Atlanta, Georgia. Her father is Italian American, and her mother is Irish and Eastern European. They divorced when she was very young, and her mother raised her in Edison, New Jersey, with little contact from her dad. At nine years of age, Brittany gained a role in Les Miserables, and had a manager at thirteen years old. In 1991, she gained her first Hollywood role in the series Drexell’s Class. She went on to appear in Blossom, Frasier, Party of Five, and Sister, Sister. In 1995, she landed her breakout performance as Tai in Clueless. She then went on to Boy Meets World, SeaQuest DSV, Nash Bridges, Drop Dead Gorgeous, and in 1999 gained another very notable role in Girl, Interrupted with Winona Ryder and Angelina Jolie. Other notable roles include Alex in 8 Mile, Sarah in Just Married, Shellie in Sin City, and she played the voice of Gloria in Happy Feet. She has also voiced over 76 episodes of King of the Hill. She will soon appear in Sin City 2. She will release her debut album in 2007. Brittany married Simon Monjack in May 2007. Many have speculated that she has had plastic surgery.
