Bridget Fonda was born Bridget Jane Fonda on the 27th of January, 1694, in Los Angeles, California. She is married Danny Elfman in 2003, and had a son Oliver in 2005. Bridget is the daughter of actor Peter Fonda and artist Susan Jane Brewer, and her grandfather is actor Henry Fonda, with her aunt actor Jane Fonda. She was first cast in a school production, and went on to study method acting at the Tisch School of the Arts and the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. It was not until 1988 that she gained her first speaking role in a feature film. It was in the film Scandal. She did not gain much attention until she landed the role of a journalist in the film The Godfather, Part III. Then she scared the living daylights out of American women when she landed the lead in Single White Female. She also had a memorable role as Melanie Ralston in Jackie Brown. She was offered the role of Ally McBeal in 1996 but turned it down to concentrate on a film career. It’s said that Bridget did not even read the script because she was afraid she would like it too much to be able to turn it down. The role then went to Calista Flockhart. However, since her marriage in 2003, Bridget has not had a role in a film.
