Who is Blanchard Ryan?

Blanchard Ryan was born Susan Blanchard Ryan on the 12th of January, 1967, in Boston, Massachusetts. She uses a screen name because there was already a Susan Ryan registered with the Screen Actors Guild. She was raised in Andover, Massachusetts. Her father is Ron Ryan, president of the NHL’s Philadelphia Flyers. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Philosophy, and began working with MTV in their special effects department. She began studying acting in New York City, and landed several commercial gigs. Her biggest television role has been on Sex and the City in 2000 as a Vera Wang Salesperson. She is married to Steve Lemme. She is also a former Club Med circus performer and aerobics instructor. Her biggest film role to date is as Susan in Open Water, for which she won a Saturn Award in 2005. However, she has several new films in the works, including No Exit, Capers, and Pistol Whipped. She also appeared as Krista Krundle in Beerfest in 2006, and as Casino La Fantastique Sally in Super Troopers in 2001. She has appeared as herself on several talk shows, including Late Night with Conan O’Brien.
