Who is Barbi Benton?

Barbi Benton was born Barbara Klein on the 28th of January, 1950, in New York City, New York. She worked as a model, actress, and singer. She was born to Jewish American parents, and her family moved to Sacramento, California, in 1952. She moved to Los Angeles at sixteen, and began modelling. She also began working on television. She met Hugh Hefner in 1968, and pretended to be his girlfriend in a show entitled Playboy After Dark, in which entertainers performed in the mansion surrounded by Playmates. It was Hugh who suggested she change her name. They began dating for real, she was eighteen, he was 42. They dated and lived together from 1969 to 1976. She recorded music, and made several B grade movies. Barbi was never a Playmate of the Month. Nor did she ever work as a Playboy Bunny. Barbi released eight music albums. She now works as an interior decorator. Barbi left Hugh when she realised he didn’t want a new family. She married George Gradow in 1979. They had two children in 1986 and 1988. Her husband was convicted of tax fraud in 2006 and is to spend fifteen months in prison.
