Barbara Schett was born on the 10th of March, 1976, in Innsbruck, Austria. She is a former Austrain tennis player. Her parents are both retired bankers. In her final event in her career, she played the Australian Open in 2005. She lost to number 26 seed Daniela Hantuchova in two sets in the second round.
