Barbara Crampton was born on the 27th of December, 1962, in Long Island, New York. She was raised in Vermont. Her father was a carnival performer. Barbara began acting in school plays and studied acting in high school, eventually receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts from Castleton State College. After graduating, Barbara went to New York to appear as Cordelia in King Lear with the American Theatre of Actors. She then moved to Los Angeles. She starred in many cult horror films, including Re-Animator, From Beyond, and Castle Freak. Her television debut was in the soap opera Days of Our Lives portraying the character Trista Evans. She also appeared in another soap opera, The Bold and the Beautiful, playing Maggie Forrester Warwick. And, she is currently appearing in The Young and the Restless as Leanna Love. She has recently been announced to appear in House of Re-Animator. Barbara was married to David Boyd from 1998 to 1990, and they have since divorced. She has been married to Robert Bleckman from 2000 until the present, and they have two children. She is writing a book on her life working in the carnival.
