Barbara Chiappini was born on the 2nd of November, 1974, in Piacenza, Italy. Her family did not have any ties to showbiz. However, Barbara management to gain acceptance in 1993 to the Miss World competition as the representative of Italy. She didn’t win, but she did win Miss Photogenic. She studied violin for 4 years at the Conservatory of Piacenza. She debuted on television in the role of Valletta in 1993. In 1999, Barbara appeared in T’amo e t’amero. In 2002, as Giana Caffi, Barbara played in Le Ragazze di Miss Italia. 2003 brought a role for her in Il Latitante. In 2005, she was in Midsummer Dream. She has also made appearances as herself on television, including Paparazzi in 1998 and L’ Isola dei famosi in 2003. She has made three calendars in her career thus far, in the years 2002, 2003, and 2004. Other television appearances she has had include the following: La vita in diretta, l'Italia sul 2, Tg2Costume e Societa', Porta a porta, Passaparola, Verissimo, Lucignolo, and Studio Aperto. 2004 was her most successful year thus far, with roles in Insabbiati with Fabrizio Rocca, Il Derby del Cuore with Marco Mazzocchi and Gabriele Cirilli, and she appeared in the Shakespeare comedy Molto rumore per nulla (Much Ado About Nothing).
