Who is Asia Argento?

Asia Argento was born Asia Aria Anna Maria Vittoria Rossa Argento on the 20th of September, 1975, in Rome, Italy. The birth registries office in Rome refused to acknowledge Asia as an appropriate name, so she is officially named Aria Argento. However, Asia still goes by Asia Argento for her professional work. She is an actress and a director. Her parents are an actress and a director/producer/screenwriter. Asia has been dating musician Marco Castoldi and has a daughter, Anna Lou, on the 20th of June 2001 to him. Asia’s father directed her in one of her first films, Trauma in 1992. This was her first nude scene as well. In 1994, at just nineteen, Asia was awarded a Best Actress Award for her performance in Perdiamoci di vistal. In 1998, Asia began appearing in English language movies, including one with svelte Christopher Walken. She has also worked in French language films. In 1994, again at nineteen years old, she directed for the first time in two short films. She wrote her first movie, Scarlet Diva, in 2000.
