Annabella Sciorra was born Annabella Gloria Philomena Sciorra on the 24th of March, 1964, in Wethersfield, Connecticut. Her mother is Italian. At the age of eleven years old, Annabella and her family moved to New York City. She began takin acting lessons, and founded the Brass Ring Theatre Company in 1984. She didn’t come to public’s attention, though until she appeared in 1991 in Spike Lee’s Jungle Fever. She helped to terrify mothers worldwide in The Hand that Rocks the Cradle, and broke our hearts in What Dreams May Come. Annabella earned herself an Emmy nomination for her role as Tony Soprano’s mistress, Gloria, in The Sopranos. Annabella joined the cast of Law & Order: Criminal Intent from 2005 to 2006. She then guest starred on The L Word, ER, and has been working on Queens Supreme. Annabella was married to actor Joe Petruzzi from 1989 to 1993. She has been dating actor Bobby Cannavale since 2004.
