Angie Dickinson was born Angeline Brown on the 30th of September, 1931, in Kulm, North Dakota. She is a Golden Globe winning actress in America. In 1942, Angie and her family moved to Burbank, California. At fourteen, Angie won the Sixth Annual Bill of Rights Essay Contest. At fifteen years old, Angie graduated from Bellamarine Jefferson High School. She graduated from college with a degree in business. Angie originally wanted to be a writer. However, in 1953, she placed second in a beauty pageant. Throughout the 1950s and 1960s, Angie gained herself a number of guest star spots in television series including Matinee Theatre. She married Gene Dickinson and pursued acting under the name Angie Dickinson. Angie became friends with Frank Sinatra and joined the Rat Pack. It wasn’t until she starred as Feathers in Rio Bravo in 1959 that she was catapulted to stardom. She made Ocean’s Eleven in 1960. Angie was rumoured to be involved with John F Kennedy at one point in her career. She played opposite Ronald Reagan in The Killers – in fact, he slaps her as part of the movie. Angie was the first successful female television police officer in the series Police Woman. It flew Angie into cult status and pop icon of the 1970s. At aged 50, without any surgery, Angie was ranked first in a list of Best Female Star Bodies, in 1982. Angie also appeared in Clooney’s remake of Ocean’s Eleven.
