Angelica Vale was born Angelica Vale Hartman on the 11th of November, 1976, in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico. She is the daughter of comedian Raul Vale, and actress Angelica Maria. At the age of 5, Angelica played the role of the daughter to Mexican star, Rigo Tovar, in El Gran Triunfo. The next year, in 1982, Angelica gained the role of Lupita in the telenovela of the same name. Lupita appeared on the TV Azteca Network, a rival of Televisa. This appearance caused Angelica’s entire family to be blacklisted by rival Televisa. It wasn’t until Ernesto Alonso intervened on their behalf four years later, in 1986, that the ban was lifted from the family. In 1998, Angelica gained the role of Julieta in Sonadoras. 2001 saw Angelica in the role of Wendy Nayeli Perez in Amigas y Rivales. From 2000 to 2005, Angelica worked on the impersonators show La Parodia. She then starred in a parody of a soap opera. But it wasn’t until she landed a lead role in La fea mas bella that she truly shot to stardom, playing the character of Lety. In 2007, she made a cameo appearance in the US version of the show, Ugly Betty, as Angelica a dental assistant.
