Andrea Thompson was born Rebecca Andrea Thompson on the 6th of January, 1960, in Dayton, Ohio. She works primarily as an actress in America. Andrea actually spent most of her childhood in Australia, but she returned to America to actively seek an acting career. Her first notable role was in the 1987 cult hit Wall Street. In 1989, she landed a role in another cult hit, television series Falcon Crest. She portrayed the conniving Genele Ericson for the final season of the series. In 1993, yet another cult hit demanded her work, portraying telepath Talia Winters on the series Babylon 5. In 1995, Andrea left Babylon 5. She had just married co-star Jerry Doyle, and they had one son named Alec. They divorced in 1997. Andrea went on to star as Detective Jill Kirkendall on NYPD Blue, acting with the series for three seasons. Andrea left NYPD to follow her passion for journalism, and she eventually scored an evening anchor position on CNN Headline News in 2001. Andrea created much controversy for CNN. Her first words as an anchor were "Hi, I'm Andrea Thompson, and unless you've been living in a cave, you probably already know that." She had had no journalism experience, and nude pictures from her 1980s films surfaced on the internet. In March 2002, only months after taking on the position, Andrea left CNN, citing boredom. She has since been in 24 and Bones.
