Ana De La Reguera was born Anabell Gardoqui de la Reguera on the 8th of April, 1978, in Vercruz, Mexico. She began her career as a telenovela actress in Mexico, and is since moving into Hollywood films. Ana first studied performing at the Instituto Veracruzano de Cultura. Ana has also studied with wonderful teachers such as with Rosa Maria Bianchi, Patricia Reyes Spindola, Rafael Miranau and Raul Quintanilla at the Centro de Formacion Actoral de TV Azteca (CEFAC). Ana gained a role as the host of Pasarela on Televisa Veracruz. Then she began acting with a role on Azul in 1996. It was in her second role, in Pueblo chico, infierno grande in 1997 that she was awarded a Heraldo for Best Female Actress. In 1998, Ana moved to the production company Producciones Argo with a role in Tentaciones. She later received another award for her work in Todo por amor. Ana came to Hollywood’s attention when she gained the role of Sister Encarnacion in the Jack Black cult hit Nacho Libre. In 2006, Ana hosted the MTV Video Music Awards Latin America. Ana’s most recent was in A Happy Death in 2007. She often gets mistaken for another Latin beauty, Penelope Cruz.
