Amy Nuttall was born on the 7th of June, 1982, in Bolton, England. She is a British actress and singer. She came to our attention when she played the role of Chloe Atkinson on the soap opera Emmerdale. Amy played on the ITV soap opera for five years from 2000 to 2005. Amy first found her taste for acting at the Arts Educational School in Tring Park. She also participated in the National Youth Music Theatre. At age sixteen, she was the youngest actress to ever portray the lead role of Christine in The Phantom of the Opera. Amy has sung at Royal Albert Hall, Old Trafford, and once won Celebrity Stars in their Eyes. In 2005, this talented star released her first album as a classical singer. It was entitled Best Days and peaked at number four on the UK classical chart. The album was nominated for Album of the Year at the Classical BRIT Awards in 2006. Amy participated in the reality TV programme Celebrity Shark Bait in 2006 with Ruby Wax and Richard E Grant. She has recently done My Fair Lady and Guys and Dolls. Amy’s next project is Cabaret at the Lyric Theatre. Her second album is due out in November 2007.
