Who is Alizee?

Alizee was born on the 21st of August, 1984, in Ajaccio, Corsica, France, as Alizee Jacotey. Alizee is the feminine form of alize, meaning the trade wind. She is also known by the nickname Lili. Alizee is a French singer, discovered by the successful singer Mylene Farmer. Alizee performed on the talent show Graines de Star in 1999. She signed up as a dancer, but that category was reserved for groups only, so she decided to sing instead. She won the award for the most promising young singing star of tomorrow. She then collaborated with Mylene, and she is now considered Farmer’s protegee. Since her start in 2000, Alizee has released two studio albums that were successful in France and abroad. Her most successful single is Moi…Lolita, which was accompanied by an image of Alizee as seductive Lolita. In 2003, Alizee married French singer Jemery Chatelain. Alizee had an aircraft named after her, when she won a colouring competition with Air Outre Mer. Alizee does prefer dancing to singing, and she relaxed her career once she was married and gave birth to a daughter on 29th of April, 2005, named Annie-Lee. She states that the nude pictures of her on the internet are fakes, and she has never posed nude.
