Who is Virginie Ledoyen?

Virginie Ledoyen was born November 15th, 1976 in Aubervilliers, France. She is an actress who landed her first film role the same year she entered a performing arts school, age 9 in an Italian comedy. By her early 20s she was able to tell the world what it is like to kiss Leonardo DiCaprio. French audiences first became acquainted with Ledoyen when she starred in Cold Water (1994) for which she was nominated a Cesar (French Oscar equivalent) for Most Promising Actress. She followed with several t.v. roles until 1995s The Single Girl which found Ledoyen Cesar nominated as a Promising Actress yet again. Her real introduction to worldwide audiences came when she co-starred with Leonardo DiCaprio in his much anticipated follow up to Titanic, the movie The Beach of 2000.
